A Midwife or Nurse Midwife provides care to pregnant women and assists with delivering babies, in both hospital and home births. May offer alternative medical treatments. May be certified as an advanced practice nurse and combine nursing training with specialty as a midwife.
Full-time, no evenings, weekends, or overnight call We are currently looking for a certified nurse midwife to join our woman-owned boutique group practice with over 50 employees and seven accessible locations throughout Northern Virginia. The incoming provider will deliver at Inova Fairfax and will be based in 1-2 locations including our Falls Church and/or Reston offices, with occasional coverage in the remaining offices. Outstanding opportunity to join our established team of 9 OB-GYN physicians, 5 physician assistants, 3 certified nurse midwives, 2 certified registered nurse anesthetists, and a tenured support staff. Our team is committed to providing the highest level of expertise in complete women's health care, including obstetric, gynecologic, and fertility services. This role will include office-based OB-GYN in addition to deliveries (1 day/week), where the incoming provider will be expected to deliver independently, with our physicians available as back up. Required qualifications:
