Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate, team-oriented Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join our Women's & Children's program. This role offers a balanced inpatient and outpatient practice, strong interdisciplinary collaboration, and opportunities to contribute to program development and maternal health initiatives. Key Responsibilities Provide pregnancy consultation and management, including prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care Perform and interpret advanced fetal imaging and ultrasound Deliver inpatient consultative support for Labor & Delivery and triage Manage 25-30 outpatient visits daily Coordinate care and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests; prescribe treatments per Virginia regulations Educate and support patients and families Respond to patient calls and electronic messages; ensure completion of referrals Additional Duties Participate in 1:4 call rotation (OB, L&D, triage) Engage in quality improvement and program development initiatives Optional involvement in staff and provider education Opportunity for expanded inpatient or Labor & Delivery roles Approximately 4 hours of administrative time weekly Qualifications Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) Eligible for Virginia licensure Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills Interest in ultrasound and consultative care preferred
