The Music Therapist is responsible for providing music therapy services to hospice patients according to their plan of care. Duties include but are not limited to: Perform assessments, evaluations, and establishes a plan and goals Perform music therapy treatments as prescribed by the Attending Physician and the Suncrest Hospice team Report on client's response to treatment or any changes in condition Document services delivered using electronic methods on day of service Participate in interdisciplinary team (IDT) meetings and collaborate with physicians, nurses, chaplains, aides, facility staff, and other members of the care team Ability to work well with verbal and non-verbal clients Connect with families and staff in a variety of outreach settings Ability to improvise in a clinical setting Qualifications Currently Music Therapist Board Certified (MT-BC) One year of music therapy experience Completed Music Therapy Degree Requirements Must be willing to drive with reliable transportation, valid driver's license and required vehicle insurance
