A Music Therapist directs and coordinates recreational activities for people with disabilities or illness to help them improve their emotional and physical well-being, improve motor skills and increase confidence. Leads activities involving music, instruments, and sound. Assists patients with disabilities to learn to use public resources such as parks and public transportation, and integrate in the community. Works with people of all ages, in schools, nursing homes, clinics and other healthcare facilities, or in parks and recreation departments.

Hourly Pay:
$16.99
  • $18.41 Pay based on experience Responsibilities
  • What you'll do Examples of Work Learn and demonstrate basic methods and application of recreational, music, and other therapeutic activities Make preparations/arrangements for and carry out activities, such as group outings Provide resources and support to Veterans to enhance skills appropriate to their physical and cognitive ability Document electronically activity attendance records, assessments, progress notes, and care plans Drive bus or other state vehicles during day/night both in town and on highway Lift and move Veterans as needed Qualifications•All you need for success
