Key Qualifications and Experience:
Certification or degree in Music Therapy, Music Education, or a related field Previous experience working with school-aged children, preferably in a PK-12 setting Strong background in vocal music instruction Ability to design and implement music therapy interventions for diverse learners Excellent communication and collaboration skills Adaptability to work with students across a wide age spectrum Comfortable utilizing a variety of music genres and techniques
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide engaging vocal music instruction to students in grades PK-12 Develop and lead music therapy sessions tailored to individual or group needs Collaborate with school staff and support professionals to integrate music into broader student development plans Organize and direct student performances, concerts, or community music events Maintain clear records of student progress and participation Contribute to individualized education programs (IEPs) as needed Foster an inclusive, motivating, and safe classroom environment Enjoy a position where you can exercise creativity, flexibility, and professional autonomy.
