A Music Therapist directs and coordinates recreational activities for people with disabilities or illness to help them improve their emotional and physical well-being, improve motor skills and increase confidence. Leads activities involving music, instruments, and sound. Assists patients with disabilities to learn to use public resources such as parks and public transportation, and integrate in the community. Works with people of all ages, in schools, nursing homes, clinics and other healthcare facilities, or in parks and recreation departments.

Job Description

KEYS is seeking a contract board certified music therapist to join our amazing team this Fall! We are seeking a candidate that has a passion for working with children with disabilities and/or serious medical diagnosis. Sessions are provided in the classroom, in-home or in KEYS music studios. Bachelor's Degree in Music Therapy or equivalent and MT-BC or LCAT required. Starting client base is 10-12 hours/week with opportunity to grow to full time schedule. Collaborative, family-friendly and positive work environment.
