A Music Therapist directs and coordinates recreational activities for people with disabilities or illness to help them improve their emotional and physical well-being, improve motor skills and increase confidence. Leads activities involving music, instruments, and sound. Assists patients with disabilities to learn to use public resources such as parks and public transportation, and integrate in the community. Works with people of all ages, in schools, nursing homes, clinics and other healthcare facilities, or in parks and recreation departments.

What You'll Do:
Provide individualized therapy services in home and community settings. Create engaging, person-centered sessions based on each client's interests, goals, strengths, and preferences. Creative interventions to support emotional wellness, communication, social connection, independence, and quality of life. Build meaningful relationships with clients and families through compassionate, strengths-based care. Collaborate with families, case managers, and other members of the client's support team. What You'll Bring:
A passion for helping others through creative, meaningful, and individualized therapy. Experience providing services to individuals with developmental disabilities, behavioral health needs, or diverse support needs is preferred. Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills. A commitment to person-centered, compassionate care.
Requirements:
Board Certification in Music Therapy (MT-BC) preferred. Current professional certification or credentials related to your discipline. CPR and First Aid certification. Professional liability insurance. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance. Ability to travel to client homes and community locations. Pay:
$50.00 - $60.00 per hour
