Location:
San Antonio and surrounding Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate, creative, and dependable Music Therapist to provide school-based music therapy services on a contract, as-needed basis. The Music Therapist will work with students to support their developmental, educational, social-emotional, communication, and behavioral goals through individualized and group music therapy interventions. This is an excellent opportunity for a Music Therapist who enjoys working in an educational environment and values collaboration with teachers, special education staff, families, and other related-service professionals. Responsibilities Provide music therapy services to students based on individual needs and educational goals. Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate music therapy interventions. Support student development in areas such as communication, social skills, emotional regulation, attention, motor skills, and behavioral functioning. Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, therapists, and school administrators. Maintain appropriate documentation, session notes, and service records. Communicate professionally with school staff regarding student progress and needs. Follow school policies, procedures, and student confidentiality requirements. Provide services at various school locations or times as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Music Therapy from an accredited program. Current MT-BC (Music Therapist-Board Certified) credential preferred/required. Experience working with children, adolescents, special education populations, or school-based programs preferred. Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team. Reliable transportation and ability to travel to assigned school locations. Must be able to successfully complete any required background checks and school onboarding requirements. Why Join Us?
