A partner with the Jewish United Fund in serving our community General Summary Float to Holy Cross and Night Shift needed Primary job; measures nervous system function using electroencephalograph (EEG), perform duties noted below. May also assist/perform the following depending upon background and training; evoked potential (EP), polysomnograph (PSG), and nerve conduction velocity studies (NCV) using appropriate instrumentation and performs the following duties.

Essential Functions and Duties:

Measures and accurately applies electrodes according to the 10/20 International System in a timely manner, according to laboratory standards. Appropriately applies EKG, EMG, and EOG monitoring electrodes. Compiles a patient history gathering appropriate information from patient's record, and family members to include any sleep disturbance. Interviews patient to assess current medications, recent caffeine or alcohol ingestion, and current sleep patterns. Performs and records mechanical calibrations according to lab policy. Performs and records physiological calibrations according to lab policy. Performs polysomnogram according to standards of the laboratory. Administers Oxygen following laboratory policy.

MINIMUM Education:

Must have appropriate training to fulfill job requirements, usually completion of first year of a formal Electroneurodiagnostic (ENDT) school or Polysomnographic Technologist Program. Prefer graduate of a formal ENDT program or Polysomnographic Technologist Program.
