Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program Current certification by ARRT (N) and/or NMTCB, or eligibility to obtain Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification Demonstrated expertise in nuclear medicine procedures, imaging protocols, and radiation safety standards Proficiency with industry-standard nuclear medicine equipment and imaging software Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and technical troubleshooting skills Excellent interpersonal communication for effective patient and team interactions Adherence to confidentiality, quality control, and infection prevention procedures

Responsibilities:

Perform a broad range of nuclear medicine imaging studies, including but not limited to PET, SPECT, and planar imaging, as ordered by physicians Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals accurately following safety guidelines Operate cameras, imaging equipment, and associated technology to obtain high-quality diagnostic images Maintain detailed documentation for exams, patient interactions, and inventory of radioactive materials Provide patient education and address questions or concerns related to procedures Ensure strict compliance with radiation protection, applicable state and federal regulations, and facility protocols Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and healthcare providers to deliver optimal patient outcomes Participate in ongoing training and continuing education to maintain and improve competencies This role provides valuable hands-on experience, the chance to work with state-of-the-art equipment, and the satisfaction of making a direct impact on patient care delivery.
