Assumes responsibility for tasks and procedures as assigned. Performs data entry operations using appropriate software package. Provides specialized technical skills, critical thinking, problem solving and medical knowledge including anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology. Correlates related patient data, apply physics principles in order to obtain optimal images for rendering a diagnosis.

Salary Range:

Based on Experience SIGN ON BONUS... Full Time/80hrs: 4 (10'S) No nights, weekends, call, or holidays

Qualifications:

Education:

Requires an associate's degree from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Program.

Experience:

3 or more years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist (Cardiac) experience preferred. PET experience preferred

Specialized Training:

Skilled peripheral IV insertion preferred

Certification/Licensure:

Requires certification in Nuclear Medicine by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and/or licensed by the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB). Must be licensed by the Arizona Department of Health Services (AZDHS) Medical Radiologic Technology (MRT). Requires

BLS. A BLS

card obtained through an approved American Heart Association (AHA) training center is preferred and will be required within 3 months.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Perform high quality cardiac nuclear medicine images on patients while providing excellent care. Follow company established nuclear medicine protocols and procedures. Under the direction of the RSO (Radiation Safety Officer), administer radiopharmaceuticals to detect or treat diseases using radioisotopes. Guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process. Monitor patients' well- being during exams; recognize patient discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action. Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients. Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information. Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements. Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals. Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers. Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions. Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting. Demonstrates ability to establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.
