Description Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Responsible for performing patient scans under the supervision of a nuclear medicine physician. Duties include calculating radioisotope dosages for administration to patients, operating radioscopic equipment, and practicing strict radiation safety. Providence caregivers are not simply valued

Required Qualifications:

Coursework/Training

• Completion of an accredited nuclear medicine training program. California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification upon hire. National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist
• Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board upon hire. Or, National Registered Technologist
• Nuclear Medicine Technology upon hire. National Provider BLS
• American Heart Association upon hire.

6 months of Experience during the last year, or a minimum of 2 years full-time experience with an absence from nuclear medicine of no more than 1 year.

Preferred Qualifications:

1 year of Experience in nuclear medicine (not required if recent graduate from an approved technician training program). Why Join Providence?
