1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a teaching hospital setting, requiring CNMT, NMTCB, and 2+ years of adult nuclear cardiology experience. Details Nuclear Medicine department in a hospital setting Adult patient population with nuclear cardiology focus Pediatric experience preferred 5x8 hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Ability to float to other UCSF facilities within a 75+ mile radius Uses Philips and Siemens equipment Epic charting system required Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience in nuclear medicine required CNMT and NMTCB certification required AHA BLS certification required ARRT(N) or ARRT(R) certification required (preferred if applicable) PET certification preferred Teaching hospital experience required Hospital and adult nuclear cardiology experience required Experience with bone scans, whole body scans, and 3-phase studies Experience with SPECT imaging including bone, brain, liver, and renal studies Experience with sestamibi parathyroid scans and thyroid studies Experience drawing venous blood and starting/maintaining IVs Experience with isolation precautions and PPE Experience storing, handling, and disposing of radioactive materials Experience with myocardial perfusion studies (exercise/rest, pharmacological stress) Experience with renal flow and function studies Experience with lung scans including ventilation/perfusion studies Experience with GI procedures including gastric emptying and HIDA scans Experience with MUGA scans PET scan experience preferred License required if applicable Additional Information Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine imaging procedures across multiple body systems including cardiac, renal, hepatobiliary, and skeletal studies Administer radiopharmaceuticals and monitor patients during imaging procedures Locals accepted at the same rate as travel candidates Two professional references from most recent employer required Any prior employment with University of California medical facilities or their acquired facilities must be disclosed with dates, units, and manager names for rehire eligibility review All requested time off must be disclosed at time of consideration and approved by the manager prior to offer No time off permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment No additional time off requests accepted once the contract has started
