We are currently seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologis t for a 40hr weekly contract at a premier, fast paced metropolitan medical center in Atlanta, GA. Position Overview The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures—including standard nuclear medicine and PET/CT imaging—utilizing radioactive isotopes to support physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role is responsible for producing high-quality imaging studies while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and strict adherence to radiation safety standards. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a high-volume healthcare environment. You will collaborate closely with physicians, radiologists, and other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver accurate diagnostic results. Key Responsibilities Prepare and administer radioactive isotopes for diagnostic imaging, PET scans, and therapeutic procedures. Operate standard nuclear medicine and hybrid PET/CT equipment to capture high-quality, precise imaging studies. Ensure the safety and comfort of patients throughout their procedures, answering questions and explaining the process. Strictly adhere to all local, state, and federal radiation safety standards and ALARA protocols. Process and analyze imaging data, collaborating directly with radiologists and attending physicians. Maintain accurate patient records, equipment logs, and radioisotope inventory. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Successful completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology Program required. Active registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT (N) OR the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) required. Current BLS/CPR certification. Traveler Package:
Up to $3,000 / week gross (Includes up to $1,800/week in tax-free meals & lodging stipends for qualified travelers).
Local Contract Package:
