Responsibilities:
Performs diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine and/or Nuclear Cardiology procedures according to all Protocols, Policies and Procedures and adhering to
A.L.A.R.A.
programs. Performs all quality control procedures in accordance with manufacturer, state and federal guidelines. What you will do Demonstrates competence and proficiency in performing all required nuclear medicine exams on patients of all age groups, positioning the patient and equipment, selecting the protocol, technique and utilizing all required equipment. Reviews all exam requisitions for pertinent information and makes notes on all additional pertinent information. Determine the quality of radiopharmaceutical received from suppliers. Explains test procedures and safety precautions to patients and provide them with assistance during test procedures. Protects self, patient and other personnel during all nuclear medicine exams. Maintains all required records, reports, licenses and files as required by Federal, State and other regulatory agencies.
Qualifications:
Education Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine program accredited by either the Joint Review Committee on Education Programs in Nuclear Medicine Technology (JRCNMT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) Required Work Experience No experience required Licenses and Certifications (N) ARDMS or ARRT
  • Nuclear Med Tech Required or CNMT
  • Certified Nuclear Med Tech CNMT registered Upon Hire Required or NMTCB
  • Nuclear Medicine Tech NMTCB registered Upon Hire Required BLS
