Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to oversee and perform advanced nuclear medicine imaging procedures. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive technical expertise, and a comprehensive understanding of diagnostic evaluation. This role involves coordinating imaging services, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and maintaining high standards of patient care within a fast-paced medical environment. Duties Perform standard SPECT nuclear medicine procedures including with precision and attention to detail. Lead and ensure compliance with clinical protocols. Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals following strict aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety. Conduct physiological assessments and interpret diagnostic imaging results to assist physicians in diagnosis. Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, patient histories, and imaging data in accordance with hospital policies. Ensure all equipment is properly calibrated, maintained, and operated according to manufacturer specifications. Educate patients about procedures, addressing concerns and ensuring comfort throughout the imaging process. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize diagnostic evaluation and treatment planning. Uphold safety standards related to radiation exposure for patients, staff, and self by following established protocols. Qualifications Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or equivalent credentialing. Proven experience in performing SPECT nuclear medicine procedures Experience with PET scans, DEXA scans, and other advanced imaging modalities helpful but not required. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and medical imaging principles. Familiarity with aseptic techniques and radiation safety protocols. Ability to interpret physiology data and contribute to diagnostic evaluation processes. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise and train staff effectively. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology relevant to nuclear medicine imaging. Prior experience in a clinical setting performing diagnostic evaluations using nuclear medicine technology is preferred but not required. $62,549.98 - $125,329.01 per year
