Adventist HealthCare's Outpatient Imaging seeks to hire an experienced PET/CT Technologist for our Outpatient Imaging office in North Bethesda, MD who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. As a PET/CT Technologist you will:
- Consistently produce high quality NM and/or PET images using knowledge of NM education, IV skills, computer processing and image enhancement.
- Performs Hot Lab functions including the acceptance, maintenance and documentation of radiopharmaceuticals. Understands principles of radiation safety.
- Properly identifies patients, reviews orders and selects scanning protocols in order to maximize quality and safe patient care in Nuclear Medicine. Performs periodic QA checks as required by state and federal law.
- Maximizes patient throughput and demonstrates teamwork with coworkers by managing large patient volume.
- Works with the Director, Manager and Radiologist to develop policies, procedures and protocols including dose reduction activities.
- Maintains written protocols for each site and ensures that the protocols in the systems are consistent with the written protocols.
- Participates in performance improvement initiatives, image quality checks and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications include:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Graduate of an
AMA/JRCERT
Accredited school of Nuclear Medicine Technology- State of Maryland Nuclear Medicine Technologist license
- ARRT (N)(CT) or NMTCB (CNMT) required
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- 2 years Nuclear Medicine Technology experience preferred
- 2 years CT experience preferred
- Strong customer service & critical thinking skills
- Effective verbal and written skills
- Actions and attitudes support Adventist Healthcare's mission and RISES values
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Basic PC skills including
RIS/PACS
experience- Image reformatting experience preferred
- Venous access competency preferred
- Ability to modify care according to the patient's age and physical ability.
