Responsibilities Perform stress testing, along with a variety of Nuclear Cardiac scanning on outpatients. Completes computer processing and analysis of all test data. Perform nuclear medicine procedures, including cardiac nuclear stress testing and myocardial perfusion imaging, according to established protocols. Prepare, calculate, administer, and document radiopharmaceuticals under appropriate physician orders and departmental procedures. Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment, perform appropriate quality-control procedures, and acquire and process nuclear medicine images according to established protocols while maintaining appropriate image quality. Maintain accurate documentation of radiopharmaceutical doses, procedures, quality-control activities, and patient information. Maintain required radiation-safety and regulatory records. Monitor inventory of radiopharmaceuticals, medical supplies, disposables, and other department materials. Coordinate radiopharmaceutical deliveries and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Perform routine equipment checks and promptly report equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs. Participate in continuing education, competency assessments, quality-improvement activities, and departmental training. Demonstrate professionalism and compassionate patient care at all times. Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, technologists, and other clinical staff. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program. Eligible for or currently certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) and/or ARRT (N). Current state licensure/registration, if required. Current BLS/CPR certification or ability to obtain within the required timeframe. New graduates are encouraged to apply. Prior experience with cardiac nuclear imaging is preferred but not required for entry-level candidates. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Ability to follow established protocols and maintain accurate documentation. Commitment to maintaining radiation-safety standards and professional competency. Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Requires the analytical ability to resolve problems that require the use of basic specific, mathematical, or technical principles and in-depth experience-based knowledge. Requires the ability to explain clinical, technical, and diagnostic procedures to patients and their families Preferred Skills Experience or clinical rotation experience with myocardial perfusion imaging.
