Akron City Full-Time, Benefit Eligible Schedule:
40 hrs/wk, Monday- Friday 6a-2:30p, no holidays or call Summa Health System is recognized as one of the region's top employers by a number of third party organizations, including NorthCoast 99.
Summary:
Serves as team leader for Nuclear Medicine by assisting in selecting, training, assigning work to staff. Provides daily operational supervision/direction to all Nuclear Medicine personnel and functions. Assists in teaching and evaluating students assigned to facility. Performs all types of Nuclear Medicine procedures.Formal Education Required:
Graduate of an A.M.A. approved school of Nuclear Medicine Technology. Registered Nuclear medicine Technologist by either the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with a Specialty in Nuclear Medicine or registered with the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.Experience and Training Required:
Five (5) years of Nuclear Medicine technology experience.Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:
Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with patients, families, clients, physicians, medical director, and community referral sources. Ability to work well within a team environment by accepting and offering honest and constructive feedback; by supporting team goals and encouraging team members; and by collaborating with patient care team members to consolidate work, solve problems, create new methods, and/or reduce costs. Proven ability to direct the work efforts of others. Ability to initiate CPR (CPR Certification) Must be willing to travel and perform duties at various Nuclear Medicine locations.Population Specific Competency:
