1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with ARRT(R) and/or NMTCB registry for a 13-week hospital-based day shift assignment. Details Hospital-based Nuclear Medicine department serving adult patients Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 5x8 hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM 13-week contract assignment May perform procedures in other imaging modalities based on departmental needs May include on-call responsibilities Utilizes GE and Siemens imaging equipment Performs bone scans (3-phase, whole body), myocardial perfusion studies (exercise/rest, pharmacological stress), renal flow and perfusion studies (with Lasix), gastric emptying studies, HIDA scans, MUGA scans, liver/spleen imaging, lung ventilation/perfusion scans, and thyroid uptake studies Potential to float within the hospital or to another nearby facility based on skill set and census Requirements Associate degree in Allied Health with a major in Nuclear Medicine Technology required ARRT(R) registry and/or NMTCB certification required; ARRT(N) preferred CPR/BLS certification required CNMT certification preferred State licensure required if applicable One year of experience in Nuclear Medicine preferred Epic EMR experience required Proficient in venipuncture, IV starting and maintenance, and safe storage/handling/disposal of radioactive materials Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE protocols Additional Information Independently performs Nuclear Medicine procedures including proper administration of radiopharmaceuticals Coordinates patient flow and department activities, including radiation protection practices Exercises professional judgment to maintain equipment in good working condition Maximum of 14 days RTO allowed per contract, with no negotiation after an offer is made Candidates within 30 miles of the facility are not accepted for this position Previous employees of the health system or prior agency travelers not extended due to tenure must wait 6 months before reapplying, pending facility rehire approval First-time travelers will be considered for this role
