NMTCB/ARRT

certification for a Nuclear Medicine role at a Level 1 trauma teaching hospital. Details Work in the Nuclear Medicine department of a hospital setting performing PET/CT scans 5x8 hour day shifts with varying start times between 6:30 AM-10:00 AM and end times between 3:00 PM-7:00 PM No on-call requirement May be required to work Saturdays for PET/CT scans if camera is down or there is an excessive backlog No holiday coverage required No floating between service lines or sister facilities required Uses Siemens equipment Uses Epic charting system, experience preferred Requirements Minimum 1 year of experience required Current BLS certification NMTCB(N) or ARRT(N) certification required NMTCB(CT) or ARRT(R) or ARRT(CT) certification required State license (SCRQSA) required in Nuclear Medicine and Radiology or Computed Tomography if applicable CNMT certification preferred Level 1 and Level 2 trauma experience preferred Teaching hospital experience preferred PET/CT experience across various scan types preferred Skills in PET scan tumor localization (limited and whole body) preferred Experience with radioactive materials storage, handling, and disposal Experience starting and maintaining IVs and drawing venous blood Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE protocols Additional Information This is a teaching hospital with Magnet designation and Level 1 Trauma status with 865 staffed beds Perform a variety of nuclear medicine procedures including bone scans, thyroid studies, brain scans, liver/renal imaging, and myocardial perfusion studies Scrub color requirement is teal top with black pants First-time travelers may be considered depending on the position Block scheduling requests can be submitted for approval prior to assignment but are not guaranteed Local candidates are accepted on a case-by-case basis at a reduced rate, though non-local candidates are prioritized Local radius rule is 60 miles from the facility Previous perm or PRN staff must be separated from the facility for 1 year before returning as a traveler All requested time off must be submitted at time of application for consideration During hurricane season (June through November, with peak activity in August and September), staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
