The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in perioperative and emergency care, demonstrating proficiency in managing complex patient needs before, during, and after surgical procedures. As a vital member of our healthcare team, the CRNA will ensure patient safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes through precise anesthesia administration and vigilant monitoring. Duties Administer general, regional, and local anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical, obstetric, or diagnostic procedures, ensuring tailored anesthetic plans for individual needs. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine appropriate anesthesia strategies based on medical history, physiology knowledge, and current health status. Monitor vital signs, oxygenation levels, and other critical parameters continuously throughout procedures to maintain patient stability. Manage airway control and ventilation support during anesthesia administration, utilizing advanced airway management techniques as needed. Respond swiftly to cardiovascular emergencies such as cardiac arrest or respiratory distress with appropriate interventions and resuscitation protocols. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and healthcare providers to develop perioperative care plans aligned with hospital standards and patient safety measures. Ensure strict compliance with nursing procedures, HIPAA regulations, state Nursing Practice Acts, and hospital policies related to medical documentation and medication administration. Maintain proficiency with medical equipment operation, Epic EMR systems, EHR systems, and other healthcare technology tools essential for documentation and patient monitoring. Participate in pain management initiatives and implement infection prevention strategies consistent with NCQA standards. Skills Extensive critical care experience with a focus on perioperative and emergency response scenarios. Proficiency in geriatrics and pediatrics anesthesia management tailored to specific age-related physiological considerations. Strong knowledge of anesthesiology principles including general anesthesia techniques and regional anesthesia procedures. Expertise in airway management, patient assessment, vital signs interpretation, and patient safety measures implementation. Ability to respond effectively to cardiovascular emergencies such as cardiac arrest or respiratory failure with appropriate resuscitation skills. Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, pharmacology related to anesthesia drugs, and injection administration protocols. Experience operating medical equipment used for patient monitoring during anesthesia procedures. Commitment to nursing policy compliance, healthcare infection prevention and control practices, and adherence to HIPAA regulations. Demonstrated ability to work within hospital environments including ICU settings; prior hospital experience is highly valued. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams while maintaining patient-centered care standards.
