Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) - Gastroenterology / Endoscopy ServicesPosition Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our Gastroenterology team under the direction of Dr. Azzam Muftah . This role focuses on providing safe, effective anesthesia care for patients undergoing GI procedures within our endoscopy suite and outpatient clinical setting. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, calm decision‑making under pressure, and a commitment to delivering high‑quality patient care. Key Responsibilities Anesthetic Planning — Develop and implement individualized anesthesia plans for GI procedures (EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, etc.). Airway & Sedation Management — Safely manage patient airway, sedation levels, and respiratory status throughout procedures. Pre‑Procedure Assessment — Evaluate patient history, medications, allergies, and risk factors prior to anesthesia administration. Intra‑Procedure Monitoring — Continuously monitor vital signs, oxygenation, and patient response during sedation. Post‑Procedure Recovery — Oversee patient recovery, assess stability, and document findings in the medical record. Equipment & Room Preparation — Prepare the procedure room, anesthesia equipment, medications, and supplies. Diagnostic Review — Request and evaluate diagnostic tests when clinically indicated. Clinical Compliance — Maintain adherence to safety protocols, sedation guidelines, and regulatory standards. Professional Development — Stay current with advancements in anesthesia techniques, medications, and GI‑specific sedation practices. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field; Master's degree preferred. Current RN and CRNA licensure in the State of Florida. Minimum 2 years of CRNA experience , preferably in outpatient, GI, or procedural sedation settings. Strong proficiency in airway management , moderate sedation, and anesthesia for short‑duration procedures. Excellent communication , teamwork , and patient‑care skills. Solid understanding of current anesthesia practices , safety standards, and monitoring techniques. Ideal Candidate Attributes Calm, confident, and able to respond quickly in urgent situations.
