Job Description

HSA Florida Physician Group - Staff Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Hospital Setting Summary We are Florida Physician Group. Our primary function is to offer continuous nursing, medical, and other health and social services on a 24-hour basis, under directed care physician and RN supervision. We service a multitude of patients and their families across our vast network, while remaining committed to the professional development of our staff, the functional improvement of our patients, and the cultivation of strong partnerships within our communities.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer anesthesia and monitor patient responses during and after procedures. Perform pre-anesthetic assessments, including patient history, physical examinations, and evaluation of laboratory and diagnostic data. Develop and implement individualized anesthesia care plans. Manage airways and ventilatory support, including intubation and extubating. Monitor patients' vital signs, anesthesia depth, and overall condition throughout surgical procedures. Adjust anesthesia levels as needed to maintain patient safety and comfort. Provide post-anesthesia care, including pain management and monitoring for complications. Maintain accurate and detailed records of anesthesia care and patient outcomes. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and improve clinical outcomes. Educate patients and families about anesthesia processes, risks, and postoperative care. Stay current with advancements in anesthesia practice through continuing education and professional development.
Work Environment:
Hospital operating rooms, labor and delivery units, interventional radiology, and other procedural areas. Exposure to sterile environments and adherence to infection control protocols. Variable shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and on-call responsibilities.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks. Manual dexterity and visual acuity for the safe administration of anesthesia. Capacity to respond rapidly and effectively in emergency situations.
QualificationsRequirements:
Master's or Doctoral degree in Nurse Anesthesia from an accredited program. Current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) through the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA). Active registered nurse (RN) and advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) licensure in the state of practice. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work effectively in high-stress environments and respond quickly to emergencies
