Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), where you will play a vital role in delivering safe, effective anesthesia care across diverse clinical settings. In this energetic and fast-paced position, you will collaborate closely with physicians, surgeons, and perioperative teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Your expertise in anesthesia administration, patient assessment, and emergency response will be essential in providing top-tier care while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance. Responsibilities Administer general, regional, and obstetric anesthesia with precision, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout perioperative procedures Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and physiology evaluation to tailor anesthesia plans effectively Monitor patients continuously during procedures using advanced medical equipment and EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems to document care accurately Respond swiftly to cardiovascular emergencies such as cardiac arrest or airway compromise, implementing life-saving protocols as needed Manage airway devices and ventilation equipment to maintain optimal oxygenation and ventilation during anesthesia administration Collaborate with surgical teams to develop individualized anesthesia plans that adhere to hospital policies and state Nursing Practice Acts Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations, nursing procedures, and infection prevention protocols to safeguard patient confidentiality and safety Administer medications and injections accurately while observing all nursing procedure standards and medication administration guidelines Participate in pain management initiatives, including regional anesthesia techniques, to enhance patient recovery experiences Maintain proficiency with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology principles relevant to anesthesiology practice The schedule is every Tuesday, every Thursday, and the first Wednesday of each month. Open to hire as permanent, locums, or PRN. But would love to find a permanent candidate. Requirements Valid certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) with current licensure in the practicing state Strong background in anesthesiology procedures including general anesthesia, regional blocks, obstetric anesthesia, and airway management Demonstrated ability to respond effectively to cardiovascular emergencies like cardiac arrest or respiratory distress Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention standards (NCQA standards) and compliance with hospital policies on nursing practice and medication safety Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic for accurate documentation of patient care activities Excellent patient care skills with a focus on safety measures implementation and patient resuscitation techniques Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams while adhering to HIPAA regulations and nursing policy guidelines Familiarity with anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and pharmacology relevant to anesthetic practice Embark on a rewarding career where your expertise directly enhances patient well-being.
