Springfield, Ohio Overview Provide 100% inpatient care for adult and geriatric cardiothoracic and vascular surgery patients at a Level II Trauma Center. Average daily census 20-26.

Schedule & Call Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Weekday floor/beeper call 3:00 PM-7:00 AM Weekend coverage required: Saturday & Sunday 24-hour onsite support (floor and/or OR call) Call types: in-house and beeper/phone Key Responsibilities Provide post-operative care and ongoing management for cardiothoracic and vascular surgery patients Round on and manage hospitalized patients; evaluate and manage consults from ED, Cath Lab, and hospital teams Assist in cardiothoracic and vascular surgical procedures; provide emergency surgical support as needed Perform vein harvesting and retrieve vascular tissue for bypass conduits Order and interpret diagnostic tests; write prescriptions as appropriate Coordinate care with surgeons, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary team Requirements Board certified PA or NP Vascular surgery experience required Active Ohio license at time of application (candidates needing to obtain an Ohio license will not be considered) Active ACLS certification Active DEA registration
