3002575026-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Cone Health is seeking a Part-Time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will provide safe, high-quality anesthesia care, collaborate with anesthesiologists and surgical teams, and support patients throughout the perioperative process. Responsibilities Provide safe, high-quality anesthesia care for surgical, procedural, and obstetric patients across a range of acuity levels Perform comprehensive pre-anesthesia assessments, including medical history review, physical assessment, and risk evaluation Develop and implement individualized anesthesia care plans in collaboration with anesthesiologists and surgeons Administer general, regional, monitored anesthesia care, and sedation in accordance with evidence-based practice and institutional policies Continuously monitor patients' physiologic status intraoperatively and respond promptly to changes in condition or emergencies Manage airway and ventilation, including advanced airway techniques as needed Establish and manage vascular access and administer fluids, blood products, and medications safely Provide post-anesthesia care, including emergence, pain management, and post-anesthesia evaluation and documentation Educate patients and families about anesthesia plans, perioperative expectations, and post-procedure recovery needs Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation in the electronic medical record and anesthesia information systems Adhere to all regulatory, infection prevention, and patient safety standards, including medication safety and time-out procedures Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical practice initiatives related to anesthesia services Engage in ongoing professional development, continuing education, and competency maintenance for anesthesia practice Support mentoring and education of students, residents, or new team members as appropriate to experience level Required Skills Anesthesia administration (general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care) Pre-anesthesia assessment and risk stratification Airway management and advanced airway techniques Hemodynamic monitoring and management Vascular access (peripheral and central line skills where applicable) Pain management and multimodal analgesia Intraoperative crisis recognition and response Post-anesthesia care and recovery management Electronic medical record and anesthesia information system documentation Knowledge of pharmacology of anesthetic and adjunct medications Understanding of anesthesia equipment, ventilators, and monitors Infection prevention and patient safety practices Interdisciplinary communication and teamwork Patient and family education Time management in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
