Ascension Seton is seeking a visionary Director of Advanced Practice Providers to serve as a cornerstone of our leadership team. In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between clinical practice and organizational strategy, providing dedicated support and advocacy for the APPs across our expansive network.
Practice setting:
0.5 FTE clinical practice in a hospital or clinic and 0.5 FTE administrative Employed position within a nonprofit health system Direct clinical excellence by overseeing care plan development and service levels, ensuring every patient receives high-quality, evidence-based treatment. Cultivate a high-performing team through strategic hiring, mentorship, and continuous education to maintain a culture of clinical growth and professional accountability. Optimize operational workflows in collaboration with Physician Practice Directors to ensure staff, equipment, and resources are utilized effectively for seamless patient flow. Lead departmental strategy by aligning goals with ethical and legal standards, creating a safe and compliant environment for both providers and patients. What You Will Need:

Registration:
Drug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. One or more of the following required: Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Allow in lieu of Basic Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Allow in lieu of Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Midwife credentialed from the Texas Midwifery Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. In states where it applies RN license must be held concurrent to Advanced Practice license Nurse Anesthetist credentialed from the National Board of Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. In states where it applies RN license must be held concurrent to Advanced Practice license. Clinical Nurse Specialist credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. In states where it applies RN license must be held concurrent to Advanced Practice license. Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. In states where it applies RN license must be held concurrent to Advanced Practice license. Physician Assistant credentialed from the Texas Physician Assistant Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Education:
Education appropriate for licensure held: Master's degree of Nursing, Master's or Doctorate of Nursing Anesthesia Practice, Doctorate of Science in Nursing, Master's or Doctorate of Science in Nursing Midwifery, Doctorate of Nursing Practice, Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program required.
Work Experience:
5 years of experience required. 10 years of experience preferred. 2 years of leadership or management experience required. 5 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
