Job Description

Summary The Milwaukee VAMC is looking for two Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists in the Anesthesia Department. These positions are eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program
  • and a recruitment incentive may be paid to highly qualified candidates. This is an open continuous announcement until June 9th
  • 2027. Qualified applicants will be considered and referred as vacancies become available and until positions are filled. Duties The Advanced Practice Nurse/Certified Registered Nurse Anesthesiologist (APN/CRNA) administers anesthesia in both inpatient and outpatient settings to patients of all health complexities The aspects of practice include direct patient care

  • and invasive procedures utilizing general and regional anesthesia and all levels of sedation techniques Major duties and responsibilities of the position: Collaborate with a variety of health care professionals to achieve common goals for care

  • and welfare of patients Foster high levels of confidence and satisfaction among patients and staff
  • as well as meet and exceed compliance standards Provide anesthetic services within five general categories to include: pre-anesthesia evaluation and preparation anesthesia induction

  • and emergence post anesthesia care peri-anesthetic and clinical support functions and emergency response techniques Develops and implements a comprehensive anesthesia plan of care for patients requiring local

  • and monitored anesthesia both inside and outside the Operating Room (OR) suite Ensures anesthetic services delivered throughout the facility are of the highest quality to promote patient safety
