Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for a 120-day assignment in Alaska, starting Dec 7, 2026. The schedule involves Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm shifts. This role requires managing a patient panel, providing primary care, handling urgent care cases including suturing, performing women's health procedures such as pap smears and IUD removal, and managing complex chronic diseases, with potential for pediatric patient care. Responsibilities and Duties Manage a patient panel population, delivering comprehensive primary care. Provide urgent care services, including common procedures like fish hook removals. Serve a rural and Indian health Alaska patient population. Perform suturing, splintering, and women's health procedures such as pap smears, pelvic exams, and IUD removal and insertions. Conduct scheduled primary care appointments and manage complex chronic diseases including diabetes, hypertension, asthma, hyperlipidemia, COPD, chronic pain, and foot care. Offer care for pediatric patients as needed.
