American Family Care is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide high-quality urgent and primary care in a fast-paced, walk-in clinic. You will independently evaluate patients across the lifespan, perform exams, order and interpret labs and x-rays, diagnose and treat acute illnesses and minor injuries, and manage stable chronic conditions. Responsibilities include performing minor procedures, documenting in the EMR, coordinating follow-up care, and educating patients. Responsibilities Provide urgent and primary care to walk-in patients across the lifespan Conduct comprehensive histories, physical exams, and focused assessments Order, interpret, and act on lab tests and x-ray studies Diagnose and treat acute illnesses, minor injuries, and stable chronic conditions Perform minor procedures such as suturing, splinting, and I&DPrescribe medications and manage treatment plans per protocols and scope of practice Document all encounters accurately in the EMR and ensure appropriate coding Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and staff to deliver patient-centered care Provide patient education, discharge instructions, and follow-up recommendations Support occupational medicine services as needed (e.g., work injuries, physicals) Required Skills Urgent care medicine Patient assessment and triage Diagnosis and treatment planning Minor procedures (suturing, splinting, I&D) Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Ordering and interpreting labs and x-rays Chronic disease management Prescribing medications Occupational medicine basics Patient education and counseling
