Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Part-Time Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessmentsindependently, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews to determine diagnosis and treatment plans (10-15 patients per shift; Charts closed within 48 hours of patient visit) Prescribe medications, administer injections, and perform procedures such as suturing, IV infusions, and catheterizations in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements. Manage acute and chronic conditions across multiple specialties including internal medicine, geriatrics, behavioral health, and emergency medicine. Collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care effectively. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks to document clinical encounters accurately and efficiently. Provide patient education on disease management, medication usage, nutrition, and preventive health strategies. Participate in telehealth consultations, triage calls, and outpatient clinics to expand access to quality care. Requirements (No New Graduates) Current Nurse Practitioner licensure with valid certification in Alabama Proven experience working in diverse clinical environments Strong proficiency with EMR/EHR systems; experience with telehealth platforms is a plus. Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, diagnostic evaluation techniques including sonography and laboratory specimen processing. Familiarity with CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), drug regulations (DEA), HIPAA compliance and medical documentation standards. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams; excellent client communication skills essential.
