Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Occupational Medicine Clinic team for a PRN position. The NP will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to employees and workers, focusing on work-related injuries, health assessments, and regulatory compliance evaluations. This role requires strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct initial and follow-up evaluations of work-related injuries and illnesses Perform pre-employment, periodic, DOT, and fit-for-duty physical examinations Conduct drug and alcohol screenings in compliance with federal and company guidelines Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and employers regarding return-to-work plans Provide patient education on injury prevention, workplace ergonomics, and health maintenance Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR) Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and company-specific occupational health regulations Participate in clinic quality improvement initiatives and staff training as needed
Qualifications:
Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in Alabama and will need to add Mississippi license. Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology NP BLS certification (required); ACLS preferred Minimum 1-2 years of experience in occupational medicine, urgent care, or primary care (preferred)
Preferred Skills and Attributes:
Familiarity with OSHA and DOT guidelines Experience with work comp case management and documentation Proficiency with EHR systems Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
Pay:
$65.00 - $80.00 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 - 16.0 per week
