Job Description
Grandview Medical Center, Birmingham, AL, is seeking an experienced Cardiology Nurse Practitioner specializing in Electrophysiology to join our Inpatient Team. This position provides comprehensive inpatient care to patients with cardiac arrhythmias and device-related issues, ensuring continuity of care from consultation through discharge. The EP NP plays a key role in improving hospital throughput, supporting EP procedures, coordinating transition-of-care arrangements, and promoting guideline-directed, evidence-based management of arrhythmia patients. Minimum of one year of licensed Nurse Practitioner experience in cardiology or cardiovascular surgery required; prior electrophysiology experience preferred but not required. Acute Care Nurse Practitioner a plus! Evaluate, manage, and document inpatient cardiac arrhythmia and device consultations, perform comprehensive exams, order diagnostic studies, and manage pre- and post-procedure care for EP lab patients Collaborate with the cath lab team and physicians to ensure procedural readiness and discharge efficiency. Help coordinate clinic follow-up visits or Transition of Care Management visits for patients post-discharge. This is a 100% inpatient role managing adult patients (ages 18+). Full-time, hospital-employed position. Participation in shared call rotation for nights and weekends is required.
