We are currently looking for a compassionate and career-oriented CRNP or FNP to cover Southern Tuscaloosa and other South AL areas (driving up to 1.5 hours one way). We cannot hire PAs, PMHNPs, or AGACNPs for this position. Nurse Practitioner Job Description Our Nurse Practitioners work in collaboration with IBH providers to provide psychiatric care for individuals within our contracted facilities . They ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards and requirements. Our NPs establish guidelines to provide coordinated health care to the adult and geriatric population. This position is not office-based . Rather, FNP/CRNPs work in a variety of inpatient facilities in their territory. The successful candidate will work collaboratively as part of a team with our other field-based NPs, social workers, and physicians. Nurse Practitioner Salary and Benefits Salary starting at $95,000/year Quarterly bonus- NPs typically make $130,000-$160,000/year Incentive Call Pay Malpractice insurance provided Health Insurance premiums are shared by IBH Short Term Disability provided Long Term Disability provided Life insurance provided Continuing Medical Education, including $500 for fees paid License fees paid up to $500 annually 200 hours of vacation, which includes holidays 401K Employer plan Flex Spending Account Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients Initiate and document appropriate interventions Evaluate and record patient/family response and prescribe therapies as indicated Assess patient/family needs and provide education Incorporate the developing knowledge of evidence-based research into clinical practice Develop knowledge of reimbursement procedures and documentation requirements Complete medical record documentation in a timely fashion Round at affiliated hospitals 1 weekend/month Nurse Practitioner Position Requirements Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program for nursing education and successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state Board certified by the AANP, ANCC or the AACCN.
