ASAP Schedule:
Full Time, M-Th C&P exams (Compensation and Pension exams) No treatment and no prescribing involved Gain valuable professional experience and work closely with America's heroes
New Grads Welcome Daily Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments that help the VA answer questions about the Veterans' current health Prior to every exam, the practitioner reviews each Veteran's medical or mental health history, using electronic bookmarks that highlight the portions applicable to the Veteran's claim(s) condition This material, paired with the Veteran's responses captured during the exam, guides the practitioner through our web-based examination form Electronic exam documentation must be submitted within 24 hours of each appointment Common exams include: musculoskeletal, cardio and respiratory Ancillaries (X-rays, labs, EKGs, PFTs, ABIs) may be ordered and will be conducted on-site or nearby The practitioner will not make a determination of percent of disability or rating, develop any treatment plans or prescribe medication
Skills You'll Need:
Exceptional clinical and communicative skills Ability to expertly assess patients, both independently and in collaboration with physician Detail oriented, confident, and present professionally EMR experience is helpful
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree or higher from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Nationally recognized as a Nurse Practitioner Clinical experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified Holds a current NP and RN license in State of Practice BLS Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of veterans and their families?
