Job Description

The following information is designed to outline the functions and position requirements of this job. PURPOSE Under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer and Medical Director, administers and accepts responsibility for planning, delivery and documentation of comprehensive medical care of patients.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Perform treatment of primary care and urgent care patients within the scope of license
  • Coordinates patient care with CMO and/or other providers. Reviews care with CMO as required by license.
  • Maintain availability for on-call duties
  • Supervise and instruct nursing personnel
  • Maintain knowledge of contemporary medical practices through continuing education
  • Attend meetings as requested
  • Participate in chart reviews for quality assurance
  • Participate in the planning, development, implementation, and support of policies and procedures, to continually improve the quality of patient care
  • Actively participates in budget, cost containment and productivity efforts
  • Other duties as assigned
WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Air conditioned office/treatment rooms. Daily patient contact with exposure to communicable diseases, blood and/or blood products. Light lifting, considerable standing and walking.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Demonstrated competency, education, training and experience in provision of primary care services
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel and the public
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with patients, orally and in writing
  • Maintain ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and PALS certification
  • Maintain F-NP certification and current Arizona license
  • Maintain all criteria of the DSCHC and contracted health plan credentialing process In any organization or job, changes take place over time.

Pay:
$85,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
