Job Summary We are seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with Collaborative Practice Certification to join our small practice. We have removed the barriers and limitations of insurance, so we can spend more time and offer personalized care to our patients. Therefore, we are looking for a clinician who is no longer affiliated with insurance networks or with Medicare or "Advantage" plans. This is a great opportunity for a semi-retired individual who is looking to continue caring for patients 3-4 days per month. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to provide compassionate, patient-centered care. Pain management experience preferred, but will train the right candidate! Responsibilities Conduct patient assessments, including physical examinations, vital sign monitoring, and medical history documentation using electronic health records (EHR) systems. We use Practice Fusion, which is very user-friendly and does not require multiple clicks! Manage acute and chronic conditions by developing and implementing individualized treatment plans aligned with best practices in pain management. Will provide training to the right candidate! Will provide training on performing joint injections and trigger point injections, if interested. Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals across specialties to coordinate patient care, including triage in emergency or urgent care settings and discharge planning in hospital environments. Interpret diagnostic tests such as radiology reports. Maintain accurate medical records, ensure compliance with CPT coding and
ICD-10/ICD-9
coding standards for billing purposes, and manage documentation related to clinical research or clinical trials when applicable. Requirements Valid AZ NP or PA license with Collaborative Practice Certification. Valid DEA Registration. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems and telehealth experience is advantageous. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and diagnostic evaluation techniques relevant to acute care settings. No prior history of, or pending medical malpractice claims. Have opted-out or willing to opt-out of Medicare Billing. (Can discuss in detail at interview.) Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and drug enforcement agency (DEA) guidelines for prescribing controlled substances.
