As a vital member of our clinical team, you will utilize your extensive nursing expertise and specialized skills to improve patient outcomes, promote healing, and enhance quality of life. Candidate must be experienced and confident with wound assessments, treatments, planning, debridement, and management of chronic and complex wounds. • Sign- on bonus • Opportunity to transition into highly competitive production-based compensation model as your patient volume grows Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations, vital signs, and detailed wound evaluations to determine appropriate treatment strategies. Develop and implement individualized wound care plans, incorporating advanced techniques such as debridement, dressings, and skin grafts when necessary. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams—including physicians, physical therapists, and specialists in infectious disease care—to ensure holistic patient management. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks to document patient encounters accurately, track healing progress, and manage medical records efficiently. Provide patient education on wound prevention, self-care techniques, and lifestyle modifications to promote healing and prevent recurrence. Participate in clinical research initiatives or quality improvement projects aimed at advancing wound care practices and patient safety. Requirements Valid Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certification with current state licensure. Proven experience in wound care management with familiarity in advanced procedures such as sterile processing, aseptic technique, and catheterization. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to wound healing and acute care settings. Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, patients with developmental disabilities or memory care needs. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or Athenahealth; experience with telehealth platforms is a plus. Ability to perform complex procedures such as IV infusion, venipuncture, tube feeding management, and skin biopsies (e.g., spinal tap). Excellent client communication skills coupled with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Knowledge of Workers' Compensation law, HIPAA compliance standards, CPT coding for billing purposes, and medication administration regulations including DEA guidelines. Critical care experience from ICU or Level I/II trauma centers is highly desirable; prior hospital medicine or emergency room experience will be advantageous.
