This position is 100% clinic-based (no hospital rounds, no call, and no weekends). You will work closely with our primary gastroenterologist to provide high-quality care for patients with a wide range of digestive and liver disorders. This is an ideal role for an autonomous clinician who excels in outpatient consultation, patient education, and long-term condition management. Key Responsibilities Conduct initial office consultations and follow-up visits for adult GI patients. Evaluate and manage common and complex gastrointestinal and hepatic conditions (e.g., GERD, IBS, IBD, fatty liver disease, biliary issues, colon cancer screening). Order and interpret relevant diagnostic tests, laboratory work, imaging, and pathology results. Formulate evidence-based treatment plans and prescribe appropriate pharmacotherapy. Educate patients on disease prevention, dietary modifications, and procedure preparation. Collaborate closely with the attending physician and clinical support staff to ensure seamless patient care. Maintain timely, accurate, and thorough electronic health record (EHR) documentation.
Qualifications & Requirements Education:
Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
Licensure:
Active, unrestricted California Nurse Practitioner (NP) license.
Certification:
Board Certification (AANP or ANCC) and active DEA registration. Bilingual (Strongly Preferred): Fluency in both Spanish and English to effectively serve our patient population. GI Experience (Strongly Preferred): Prior clinical experience as an NP in Gastroenterology or a specialized outpatient medical setting.
