In this vital role, you will serve as a highly skilled advanced practice provider, collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive assessments, diagnosis, treatment plans, and ongoing management of patient health. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while working within a vibrant team committed to excellence and innovation in healthcare delivery.
Responsibilities:
Manage acute and chronic conditions in pain medicine. Conduct thorough patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories to inform accurate diagnoses. Prescribe medications and treatment regimens in compliance with state and federal regulations, including DEA guidelines for controlled substances. Order and review diagnostic studies, including MRI, X-rays, and lab tests, to assess and monitor patient progress. Identify patients who would benefit from ultrasound-guided and fluoroscopic-guided injections, as well as more advanced minimally invasive interventional procedures. Refer patients to appropriate surgical specialists, such as spine and orthopedic surgeons, for further surgical evaluation as needed. Educate patients on their pain management plan, including medication instructions, procedural expectations, and lifestyle modifications. Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals including physicians, nurses, specialists providers to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including ModMed. Strong knowledge of physiology, pharmacology (including CPT coding), medical terminology and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
Pay:
$68.00 - $75.00 per hour
