Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in Urgent Care. In this role, you will provide high-quality, timely medical care to patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries across the lifespan. You will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating a broad range of conditions, performing minor procedures, and delivering patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinical environment. This position requires strong clinical judgment, efficiency, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of care and patient experience. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history taking, physical exams, and ordering diagnostic tests. Diagnose and treat acute illnesses, infections, and injuries. Perform minor procedures such as suturing, splinting, and incision and drainage. Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans. Document all patient encounters accurately and timely using NextGen EMR (Electronic Medical Records) while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members as needed. Provide patient education regarding health, wellness, and follow-up care. Qualifications Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in CA. Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in an urgent care or emergency medicine setting. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems Proficient in minor procedures (e.g., suturing, splinting), x-ray interpretation and ECG interpretation. Knowledge of CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-10 coding standards for accurate documentation and billing purposes. Experience working with diverse patient populations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
ACLS/BLS
certification required. Strong commitment to teamwork and patient-centered care.
Pay:
From $145,600.00 per year
