Villa Monticello is a luxury 29-bed RCFE specializing in personalized senior and memory care , and we're looking for an experienced Activities Coordinator who can bring energy, creativity, and purpose to our residents' everyday lives. We are looking for someone who understands that activities are about far more than keeping residents occupied. The right person will know how to create meaningful experiences that stimulate the mind, body, senses, emotions, and social connections of residents at every stage of dementia. What You'll Do Plan and lead a diverse daily activity program for our residents Create activities that promote cognitive stimulation, physical movement, creativity, socialization, and emotional well-being Develop activities appropriate for residents at different stages of dementia and Alzheimer's Adapt activities based on each resident's cognitive and physical abilities Provide meaningful one-on-one engagement for residents who don't participate in groups Incorporate music, art, exercise, games, gardening, reminiscence, sensory activities, outdoor activities, and other creative programming Learn residents' personal histories, hobbies, interests, and former careers and incorporate them into activities Encourage residents to participate while maintaining dignity, independence, and choice Create an atmosphere that is positive, energetic, stimulating, and fun Work closely with caregivers and management to understand residents' changing needs Maintain an organized activity calendar and required documentation You may be a great fit if you: Have previous experience working with dementia or Alzheimer's residents Have experience in memory care, assisted living, RCFE, skilled nursing, or senior recreation Are naturally energetic, positive, patient, and compassionate Are highly creative and can continuously develop new activity ideas Understand how to engage residents who have different levels of cognitive ability Are comfortable leading groups and providing one-on-one engagement Are dependable and take attendance and punctuality seriously Can take initiative without needing to be constantly directed Genuinely enjoy spending time with seniors We want someone who sees the person—not just the diagnosis. A resident's cognitive abilities may change, but their need for purpose, dignity, connection, stimulation, and joy does not. Requirements Dementia/Alzheimer's experience strongly preferred Previous senior-care or activities experience preferred Must meet all applicable California
RCFE/CDSS
employment requirements Successful completion of required background/criminal record clearance Required health/TB clearances Completion of required RCFE orientation and applicable training Must be able to pass all required pre-employment screening Days to be discussed during interview.
