Our services include gynecology, obstetrics, preventive care, contraception, reproductive health, menopause care, office procedures, and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our clinical team. Position Summary The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will provide evidence-based women's healthcare within their education, experience, credentialing, and scope of practice. The clinician will work collaboratively with the medical director, physicians, advanced practice clinicians, medical assistants, and administrative staff to evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, coordinate care, and ensure appropriate follow-up. The specific clinical scope, schedule, procedures, and performance expectations will be individualized based on the selected candidate's experience, interests, competencies, and the evolving needs of the practice. Responsibilities Provide preventive, routine, and problem-focused women's healthcare. Obtain medical histories, perform physical examinations, and develop appropriate assessment and treatment plans. Evaluate and manage common gynecologic and reproductive-health concerns. Provide contraception counseling and management. Participate in prenatal and postpartum care as appropriate to experience and assigned scope. Support the evaluation and management of perimenopause and menopause concerns. Order and interpret appropriate laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostic studies. Prescribe medications and treatments within applicable licensure and practice requirements. Perform selected office procedures based on training, credentialing, and demonstrated competency. Educate patients about diagnoses, treatment options, preventive care, and follow-up recommendations. Recognize conditions requiring physician consultation, emergency evaluation, or specialty referral. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. Participate in clinical meetings, quality improvement, and practice-development activities. Patient Experience and Care Coordination Provide compassionate, respectful, inclusive, and patient-centered care. Communicate clinical information clearly and ensure patients understand their treatment plans and next steps. Respond professionally and promptly to patient questions and concerns. Review and address assigned messages, refill requests, results, referrals, and clinical documents. Coordinate care with physicians, hospitals, laboratories, imaging centers, pharmacies, and other healthcare professionals. Follow clinical matters through completion and escalate urgent or complex concerns appropriately. Work collaboratively with the entire Haven team to improve patient access, continuity, and satisfaction. QualificationsNurse Practitioner Candidates Active or eligible California Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner licenses. Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner program. Current applicable national board certification. Furnishing and prescribing authority or eligibility as required for the position. Physician Assistant Candidates Active or eligible California Physician Assistant license. Graduate of an accredited physician assistant program. Current NCCPA certification. All Candidates Current BLS certification. Eligibility for payer enrollment and credentialing. Strong clinical judgment and commitment to evidence-based care. Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently within the defined scope while seeking physician consultation appropriately. Commitment to teamwork, professionalism, patient experience, and reliable follow-through. Ability to use an electronic health record. Preferred Qualifications Experience in OB-GYN, women's health, reproductive health, family medicine, primary care, or a related ambulatory specialty. Women's Health Nurse Practitioner certification or substantial women's health experience. Experience with contraception, prenatal or postpartum care, menopause care, or gynecologic office procedures. Epic or other EHR experience. Experience with telehealth or technology-enabled care. Bilingual capability is a plus. Experienced clinicians are preferred; however, strong candidates with relevant training or prior women's health experience may also be considered.
