  • Position Overview:
  • Coverage Duration:
  • Immediate start for a 3-month term, with potential for extension.
  • Practice Setting:
  • Outpatient clinic environment.
  • Work Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Clinical Responsibilities:
  • The primary focus will be on gynecological (GYN) cases, with some obstetrics (OB) duties as needed, particularly for well-woman visits.
Telehealth services will be incorporated alongside traditional clinic appointments. Strong GYN experience is essential. Practitioners must perform their own ultrasounds, including dating pregnancies up to 8 weeks. Proficiency in managing preventive GYN care, endometrial biopsies (EMB), addressing abnormal bleeding, and hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is required. Experience with Bartholin abscess management and Pap tests is also necessary.
  • Call Responsibilities:
  • No on-call duties are expected.
  • Patient Volume:
  • Anticipated daily patient load is 20-24, with 12-13 scheduled patients during each of the four-hour morning and afternoon sessions.
  • Support Structure:
  • - Each shift is supported by a full team of registered nurses (RNs) and licensed vocational nurses (LVNs). - A supervising physician will be present on-site.
  • System Proficiency:
  • Familiarity with the EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system is required.
  • Credentialing:
  • Credentialing process is estimated to take around 90 days from the submission of the application.
  • Qualifications:
  • Required certifications include Board Certification in the relevant specialty and American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS).
- A valid California medical license is mandatory.
