Physician Assistant (PA) / Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Primary Care Full-Time | Direct Hire | $138,000-$195,000 | Sign-On Bonus | Relocation Assistance | California A great primary care practice, in a pretty great place to live. We're looking for a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join a respected primary care practice in the California mountains . This is the kind of opportunity that offers a nice balance: a supportive medical team, a good degree of clinical independence, meaningful patient relationships, and a community where you can actually get to know the people you care for. The Opportunity As a Primary Care PA/NP , you'll provide care for a diverse patient population across the lifespan. You'll see a mix of routine wellness visits, preventive care, acute illnesses, chronic disease management, and follow-up care. You'll work with a supportive Medical Director and healthcare team while having the independence to use your own clinical judgment.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing comprehensive primary care to patients across the lifespan Evaluating, diagnosing, and treating acute and chronic conditions Performing histories and physical examinations Managing chronic diseases and ongoing health conditions Providing preventive care, wellness visits, and health education Ordering, reviewing, and interpreting laboratory and diagnostic testing Developing individualized treatment plans Prescribing medications and treatments within your scope of practice Coordinating care with physicians, specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals Building long-term relationships with patients and families Participating in quality improvement and clinic development initiatives You'll have plenty of independence in your day-to-day practice, with physician collaboration and support when you need it. Compensation & Benefits $138,000-$195,000 annually, depending on experience The position also includes: Sign-on bonus Relocation assistance Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) or 403(b) with employer contribution Generous PTO Paid holidays Annual CME allowance Paid CME days What You'll Bring Graduate degree from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program Active, unrestricted California PA or NP license Current DEA registration Current BLS certification ACLS and/or PALS preferred Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills Ability to work independently while collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to patient-centered, culturally competent care Bilingual skills are a plus A More Personal Approach to Primary Care One of the nice things about community-based primary care is that you have the opportunity to really get to know your patients.
