Ongoing Assignment Location:
Lakewood, New Jersey A busy outpatient Occupational Medicine practice is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity. This position offers a consistent weekday schedule, a collaborative clinical environment, and a streamlined onboarding process—making it an excellent opportunity for providers looking for work-life balance without sacrificing meaningful patient care. If you have experience in Occupational Medicine, Urgent Care, Family Practice, or Workers' Compensation and are DOT Certified, we'd like to speak with you. Position Highlights Ongoing locum assignment Monday-Friday schedule 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM No call No weekends Outpatient practice Fast credentialing and onboarding Average 20-25 patients per day Supportive physician and APP team Opportunity to extend assignment Responsibilities You'll provide comprehensive occupational health services for employees across a variety of industries, including: Pre-employment and post-offer physical examinations DOT physicals Return-to-work evaluations Workers' compensation injury assessment and treatment Fit-for-duty examinations Medical surveillance exams Exposure evaluations and follow-up care Drug and alcohol testing Ordering and interpreting laboratory testing and diagnostic X-rays Collaborating with physicians and clinical staff to coordinate patient care Qualifications Board Certified Adult Nurse Practitioner Active New Jersey Nurse Practitioner License Current DEA and CDS DOT Medical Examiner Certification (Required) Experience managing Workers' Compensation cases Occupational Medicine or Urgent Care experience preferred Comfortable practicing independently in a fast-paced outpatient setting Why You'll Love This Opportunity This is an excellent assignment for experienced Nurse Practitioners looking to step into a stable, well-supported outpatient practice with predictable hours and no overnight or weekend responsibilities.
