Job Description
Nurse Practitioner Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00PM Salary:
$130,000 to $149,000 annually We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join a community focused healthcare team providing high quality primary care to a diverse patient population. This role is ideal for an NP who values compassionate, inclusive care and is comfortable working with patients from a wide range of backgrounds, including the LGBTQ+ community. You will provide comprehensive patient care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary clinical team. Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive primary care services
- Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients
- Provide patient education and preventive care
- Discuss sexual health concerns in a professional, nonjudgmental, and sex positive manner
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Deliver culturally competent and patient centered care
- Support the organization's commitment to serving diverse and underserved communities Required Qualifications
- RN and Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner degree
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in the State of California
- Federal DEA registration
- Active furnishing license
- Primary care experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a clinical team
- Knowledge of or experience working with the LGBTQ+ community
- Understanding of healthcare issues relevant to LGBTQ+ patients
- Demonstrated ability to provide respectful care to patients across diverse cultural, socioeconomic, racial, ethnic, religious, gender, and identity backgrounds
- Ability to pass an FBI background check Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in Nursing or a related field
- Experience in a community health or primary care clinic
- Experience serving underserved populations
- Bilingual or multilingual skills
- Experience working with electronic health record systems
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
