Position Summary:
The Family Nurse Practitioner provides medical care including medical screening examinations and evaluations. Performs accurate initial history and physical exam. Follows up with patients with multi-system health problems. Counsels/educates patients, promotes/delivers quality patient care in family practice setting. The Nurse Practitioner will continue education in primary/pediatrics medicine through conferences, courses, journals, professional societies, etc., and will maintain continuing education requirements as outlined by the Regulatory Agency requirements. Completion of Madera Community Hospital Medical Staff Credentialing Application Process for Allied Health Medical Staff Privileges prior to first day of work and every two years thereafter. The Granting of privileges includes approval from the Medical Staff and concurrent Board of Trustees approval per the Bylaws, Rules and Regulations of each.Qualifications:
Requires Current State of California Family Nurse Practitioner License, Current State of California Family Nurse Practitioner Furnishing License, Current DEA License, Current State of California Registered Nurse, Current American Heart Association BCLS certificate. Prefer American Heart Association ACLS and PALS certificates.
