The Opportunity:

Build Your Practice With Us This position is different from stepping into an already-full patient panel. We are seeking a PMHNP who wants to actively participate in growing their practice alongside Whole Mind. You will have support from our scheduling, credentialing, billing, marketing, administrative, and clinic operations teams. At the same time, we want a provider who takes personal ownership of developing a thriving clinical practice.

That includes helping us:

Grow patient volume and referrals. Develop relationships with therapists, primary care providers, community organizations, and other potential referral partners while providing an outstanding experience that generates organic referrals. Build and maintain a strong patient panel. Create the type of therapeutic relationships that encourage patient engagement, continuity of care, retention, and appropriate follow-up. Maximize patient access and schedule utilization. Work collaboratively with our scheduling and operations teams to identify unused capacity, reduce avoidable gaps, and make care accessible to patients who need it. Contribute to clinic growth. Bring ideas, identify opportunities, solve problems, and participate in initiatives that expand Whole Mind's presence in Novato and surrounding communities. Improve operational efficiency. Partner with our Office Manager and leadership team to identify unnecessary barriers, improve workflows, and use clinical resources effectively. Clinical Responsibilities The PMHNP will:

Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments. Provide evidence-based medication management. Develop individualized treatment plans. Treat conditions including depression, anxiety disorders, ADHD, trauma-related disorders, bipolar disorder, mood disorders, and other psychiatric conditions within the provider's scope and competency. Monitor treatment effectiveness, medication response, side effects, and clinical progress. Collaborate with therapists, psychiatrists, primary care providers, and other members of the patient's treatment team. Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation. Support continuity of care and strong patient engagement. Maintain HIPAA, professional, ethical, and regulatory standards. Collaborate with the clinic team to provide an exceptional patient experience. TMS & Spravato Whole Mind provides advanced treatment options for individuals experiencing treatment-resistant depression, including TMS and Spravato . Experience with these treatments is highly valued but is not required for an otherwise exceptional candidate. Training can be provided. Because payer credentialing can take several months, the selected provider's regular outpatient psychiatric schedule will begin after sufficient credentialing and payer enrollment have been completed. During the credentialing period, there may be opportunities to provide Spravato-related clinical support and patient care as needed and as permitted by applicable payer, regulatory, and clinical requirements . Bilingual English/Spanish - Required A major objective for this position is expanding access to psychiatric care for Spanish-speaking patients and families throughout Marin County and the surrounding communities. Candidates must be professionally fluent in both English and Spanish , including the ability to: Conduct psychiatric evaluations and patient visits in Spanish. Communicate complex psychiatric and medication information clearly in both languages. Communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking patients and families. Read and write professionally in both English and Spanish. Compensation & Growth $80.00-$120.00 per hour , based on experience and qualifications. This position will initially be structured as a part-time W-2 position while the provider's patient panel develops. Our objective is growth. As the provider develops consistent patient demand and maintains approximately 32+ patient-facing hours per week , there will be an opportunity to transition into a full-time benefitted W-2 position , subject to organizational needs and applicable benefit-plan eligibility requirements. Required work time will be compensated in accordance with Whole Mind policies and applicable California wage-and-hour requirements. Who Will Thrive in This Position? Qualifications Required:

Active California PMHNP licensure. Current California furnishing/prescribing authority as applicable. Current DEA registration. Professionally fluent in English and Spanish, including speaking, reading, and writing. Ability to provide in-person care at our Novato clinic. Strong clinical judgment and commitment to evidence-based psychiatric care. Willingness to actively participate in building a patient panel and developing the practice.

Preferred:

Two or more years of outpatient psychiatric or behavioral health experience. Established relationships within Marin County or surrounding healthcare communities. Experience developing a patient panel or growing a clinical practice. Experience treating treatment-resistant depression. TMS and/or Spravato experience.
